Introducing tidbits

An ongoing photo journal

During my recent trip to Japan, I published a pop-up photography newsletter - Tsundoku. Having a "project" gave me an excuse to take the hobby seriously, including waking up at 4 a.m. some days to catch the sunrise light. I also enjoyed that the newsletter had beginning and end dates - which allowed it to tell a story. You can see the photos here.

Back in San Francisco, I have continued taking photographs (and occasionally waking up at 4 a.m.). I am not on social media, so I lack a place to share more ongoing photographs. So, today I am starting an ongoing photography newsletter - called tidbits.

I still think there is something powerful about giving a newsletter a start and a stop. I may create more pop-up newsletters for future trips or events. tidbits is for everything in between: an ongoing place to share the photographs I take. I'll plan to limit it to one photo per day, though more likely less often. Its goal is more that each photo tells its own story as a standalone image.

Email subscribers are not automatically added to tidbits. To join by email, go to the tidbits page. (Or text SUBSCRIBE to +1 212 347 3190 to receive all new posts, including tidbits photos, via SMS.)

The first couple of photos are already live. Check out tidbits.
